I started this blog for a bit of fun, but lately it has become very clear that bacon faces very serious enemies. It lurks in unexpected corners, it hides behind a friendly smile. I intend to unmask it!
Miniature Apple Pie with BACON

This weekend we went to see a visiting exhibit of Roman art at the Seattle Art Museum. Afterwards we had lunch with friends at the museum cafe. I had miniature burgers with frites. It was delicious, but not quite filling enough, so I looked at the desert menu.
There I was delighted to find a miniature apple pie with bacon!! Of course I had to order it. It was delicious. It came with a thick strip of bacon encrusted with pecans and dark sugar, kind of like a bacon praline.
I don’t think it is a regular menu item, but its worth trying if they have it.
